At AVA we know about the great work done by volunteers across a huge range of activities. We work with a wide range of organisations to ensure that individuals who want to volunteer get the right opportunity for them. The AVA Award recognises the valuable contribution that volunteers make to communities and individuals across Aberdeenshire.

We also know that individuals who volunteer deserve recognition for both the time and the difference they are making to the work of charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and the many other ways that they volunteer.

If you have a volunteer who has given their time and talent for a number of years you can nominate them for an AVA Award. The awards recognise individual commitment to volunteering for 1, 5, 10 and 15 years and for volunteers who have given 20 years or more there is a Lifetime Volunteering Achievement Award.

We also have a general 'Thank you' certificate, this can be used for volunteers who have perhaps been with you for a short period of time or for those who have made a big difference in a project and you want to say thank you.
