Aberdeen Care and Repair Group
Care & Repair

Early Intervention Project

£35,752.00
Aberdeen Care and Repair wish to take steps towards becoming a zero emissions charity through the purchase of an electric vehicle to deliver equipment/minor adaptations to older people living in Aberdeen City, and to collect, store and reuse modular ramps/rails.
There would be a substantial reduction in the charity’s carbon footprint, increased awareness of environmental impact and the ability to reuse modular ramps/rails rather than disposal thus reducing the financial burdens. We would have the ability to reach vulnerable clients earlier, supplying aids and equipment to promote independent living reducing the need to use less environmentally friendly modes of transport.

Reducing carbon emissions with destratification fans

£15,791.00
We need you to be our biggest fan!
Aberdeen Science Centre would like to purchase and install 13 destratification fans to reduce carbon emissions, save energy and improve airflow at the Science Centre.
Destratification fans constantly mix the air within the building, forcing warmer air back to ground level and breaking up the temperature layers, resulting in a more constant temperature throughout making it more comfortable for visitors and staff, as well as better for our environment. We estimate to save 3 tonnes of carbon emissions and reduce our energy bill by £3,000 each year.

The Compass Project by Camphill Wellbeing Trust

Making the most of solar at North Point

£5,904.43
Help North Point Multi-use Hall make the most of its solar power. This project will install battery storage on the building at CWT’s Compass Project, in Cults, allowing clean energy generated during the day to be stored and used when it is needed most. By reducing energy costs and carbon emissions, the project will strengthen the long-term sustainability of both North Point and the wider Compass site. Every pound saved on energy bills will be reinvested into health, wellbeing and community activities, ensuring local people continue to benefit from an inclusive, welcoming and environmentally responsible space for years to come.

Sustainable upgrades to Citymoves new city centre site

£34,500.00
Relocating our charity to a city centre property will create a more sustainable, energy-efficient, and accessible home for the communities we serve. Through targeted environmental improvements, including the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting and enhanced insulation, we will significantly reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and improve the comfort of our building users. A central location will encourage greater use of public transport, walking, and cycling, further reducing our environmental impact. By investing in greener, building renovations, we will create a welcoming community hub that supports wellbeing, strengthens local partnerships, and delivers lasting social and environmental benefits for the city.

Crown Terrace Methodist Church, Aberdeen
open house initiative

Lighting Upgrade from fluorescents/incandescent to LED Tubes

£14,166.00
Every visitor to Open House deserves a welcoming environment. At Crown Terrace Methodist Church, it is our desire to have a hall that feels like a warm embrace, not a tired space lit by fading, costly, hazardous bulbs. Replacing them with long-lasting, non-hazardous LED tubes, we hope to brighten every table where a meal is served, lower our energy bills and shrink our carbon footprint. Every saved pound can go back into welcoming people. It is light, warmth and hope for our Aberdeen community, for years to come. Please vote and help us shine.

New Windows for Heritage Centre

£50,000.00
We are breathing new life into Aberdeen's rail heritage by completing the restoration of our historic, Grade 'B' listed former Engine Shed, leased from Aberdeen City Council. Having already extensively refurbished the main building, our final hurdle is to repair or replace, and double-glaze the remaining 26 historic timber windows. This project will drastically cut our carbon footprint, lower energy bills, and create a warm, sustainable hub for the community. If we face a funding shortfall, we will target the windows in the worst condition first to ensure maximum weatherproofing impact.

Great Western Community Centre

Great Western Green Energy

£37,665.48
Great Western Community Centre wants to install solar panels to generate clean,
renewable energy right here in the community.
This project will cut our carbon
emissions, reduce our energy bills and protect affordable access to all those who rely on the centre every day.
By producing our own green energy, we become more resilient, more sustainable and better able to support our community long term.
This investment creates a greener future for everyone and shows that local climate action can be practical, inclusive and community led.
A vote for this project is a vote for lower costs and lower carbon.

Hermes Bridge of Don Ladies FC – Portable LED Training Lights Project

£7,365.40
Our project will purchase portable, battery‑powered LED training lights so young players can train safely all year round. These lights replace the need for fossil‑fuel generators and allow evening sessions to continue through winter without relying on expensive facility hire. The kit is fully portable, quick to set up, and creates a bright, low‑pollution training environment. This project will give local girls more opportunities to stay active, develop skills, and enjoy football in a sustainable, climate‑friendly way.

Charity Shop Energy Efficiency

£20,213.00
We want to improve and modernise the heating system in our George Street charity shop.
This will reduce our carbon footprint, reduce our utility bills and create a more comfortable environment for our team, supported families and customers.
Importantly, by reducing our expenditure on utilities and increasing our net income from the shop, we can divert more of our resources to our charitable purpose; supporting local families with children under the age of 5.

Instant Neighbour

Affordable Dreams Project

£20,726.36
Help make Affordable Dreams reality. Every year, good-quality mattresses are thrown away while many local people struggle to afford a comfortable bed. With your vote, Instant Neighbour can professionally clean, sanitise and reuse suitable mattresses, giving them a second life and making quality mattresses available at affordable prices. The Affordable Dreams Project will reduce landfill, cut carbon emissions and help local households, showing that protecting our planet and supporting our community can go hand in hand. Instead of waste, we can give mattresses a second chance – and more people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire the good night's sleep everyone deserves.

Commercial Oven for our Community Centre

£6,000.00
The centre currently provides ultra-low cost activities for children and families during school holidays. We organise fun activities for families who wish to get out of the house in the holidays and not worry about costly days out. With a commercial oven we would produce low cost meals quickly that would allow families to stay out for longer and keep the children entertained.
The Centre has entered a partnership with the local Co-op where we receive fresh, nutritious food from them twice a week.

Mamacita Foundation

Mamacita Foundation Youth Reuse Clubhouse

£33,914.00
The Youth Reuse Clubhouse will turn unwanted items into new opportunities. Young people will learn practical skills in sewing, bicycle repair, upcycling, furniture restoration and safe repair of household items, supported by skilled volunteers and local partners. Instead of usable items going to landfill, we will repair, reuse and transform them into useful, attractive products for the community. The project will give young people a positive place to spend their time, build confidence, gain green skills and prepare for future work. Your vote will help young people thrive while making Aberdeen greener, more resourceful and less wasteful.

Mastrick Community Centre

Mastrick Make & Mend

£45,870.93
What if we could fix it instead of throwing it away?
We will transform a space in Mastrick Community Centre into a permanent community repair and reuse hub, giving local people access to tools, equipment and practical skills to repair bikes, clothing, furniture, electrical items and household goods.
A Community Tool Library will let residents borrow equipment rather than buy it, while regular repair cafés and workshops will bring people together to share skills.
The result: less waste, lower household costs, new green skills and a stronger, more self-sufficient community, putting practical climate action directly into the hands of residents.

Springhill Green, Grow & Build Eco-Hub

£50,000.00
The Springhill Green, Grow & Build Eco-Hub will transform an underused space into a vibrant, fully accessible community haven. By building an off-grid solar-powered Men’s Shed and expanding our permaculture garden with a commercial polytunnel, raised beds, and fruit trees, this project empowers everyone to take local climate action.
Together, we will produce fresh organic food, teach circular "Fix-It" repair skills to save families money, tackle social isolation, and cut carbon emissions.
Vote for Springhill Eco-Hub to build a healthier, greener, and more connected community for all!

Middlefield Community Project @ The Hub

Solar Panel Battery Storage

£16,584.00
Middlefield Community Project supports more than 600 people every week. Your vote will help us buy batteries to store energy generated by our solar panels, so we can keep using clean power after sunset—especially vital during Aberdeen’s dark winters. This investment will protect the services our community relies on, including our Food Table, Café, and community services for all ages, and help us stay open during evenings and weekends to support local children, young people and families.

Ruthrieston Community Centre
g

Ruthrieston Door and Ventilation Project.

£50,000.00
Ruthrieston Community Centre is a much loved local hub, used every day by community members, but like many older buildings, it loses heat quickly and lacks proper ventilation.
This project replaces the entrance doors with airtight, insulated ones, and installs a smart ventilation system that supplies fresh air while recovering heat instead of losing it through the windows.
The result will be a warmer, healthier, more comfortable centre that costs less to heat and takes the next step toward clean, green heating. Help us keep this community hub serving the community for 150 years, thriving for years to come.

Procurement and Installation of Under-Pew Heating System

£26,000.00
Our plan to install under-pew heaters powered by electricity generated by solar panels, thereby reducing our use of the gas boiler, is a key part of our Net Zero 2030 project to substantially reduce our carbon footprint and sustain our presence in the heart of the city. Ours is a very diverse congregation, many of whom are vulnerable people living on the margins of society or suffering from mental ill-health for whom keeping warm in winter is often a particular challenge; many tell us they find our weekly Wednesday evening Taize service followed by refreshments comforting and therapeutic.

St Machar Academy School Allotment

£25,000.00
Vote for the St Machar Academy Allotment!  Help us create a thriving outdoor learning area where young people can connect with nature, develop practical skills and support local wildlife.  Funding will provide equipment for our outdoor classroom and upcycling workshop, improve food-growing areas and create a vibrant wildflower meadow.  Learners will gain hands-on experience growing food, repairing and reusing materials, and building habitats for wildlife.  The project will improve wellbeing, boost biodiversity, reduce waste, and inspire future green careers. Your vote can make this happen. Vote for St Machar Academy Allotment and help us grow a greener future.

The Bread Maker - Journey To Green

£46,750.00
Help The Breadmaker become a greener, more sustainable community hub by supporting the replacement of our old windows and doors. This vital upgrade will make our bakery and coffee shop warmer, more energy efficient, and more environmentally friendly, reducing energy waste and carbon emissions. The project will directly benefit our apprentices with learning disabilities, staff, volunteers, and the wider community who use our welcoming space. Your vote will help us take another important step towards becoming Aberdeen’s greenest bakery while creating a brighter, more sustainable future for everyone who walks through our doors.

Wheels for Wellbeing: The Period Place Goes Electric.

£39,093.00
Wheels for Wellbeing: The Period Place Goes Electric. Right now, our volunteers use their own petrol cars to carry health workshops, equipment and supplies across Aberdeen, to schools, community centres, and our biweekly clinic on Frederick Street. It's unreliable, costly for volunteers, and we're already turning away requests we can't reach. One electric vehicle changes that: more communities reached, at least one extra workshop a month delivered, and volunteers freed from the burden of using their own cars. A small, practical purchase, with a big, lasting impact on both health access and carbon emissions. Vote electric. Vote Wheels for Wellbeing.

Aberdeen City focus

£49,500.00
After 5 years of hard work, we now have a city centre focus to our Active and Sustainable Travel, and Cycling work.
Bike Dr's, Cycle Training, Bike Maintenance Workshops and more.
Voting for us would fund an electric van, so that we can bring our work to new areas of the city (inside the LEZ), and to do so across the whole city with a significantly lower carbon footprint than with our current older diesel vans.
More people and communities, in more parts of the city will have access to our services if you vote for us.
