£49,999.56
Alford Valley Community Railway are continuing the legacy of James Gordon to keep the well loved and popular 2ft gauge railway going and ensure its ongoing future. We wish to replace the remaining wooden sleepers in the system to plastic. Your help to achieve this is now needed. Please vote for us, so we can keep this well loved railways legacy alive into the future.

Bairnecessities HQ Renovations

£37.500.00
Bairnecessities has a new home! We are renovating our building to create a base for our charity. This will allow us to grow and support our local community more and more. A large part of these renovations will be to install environmentally friendly upgrades such as solar panels and electric heating systems, making sure our environmental impact is kept as low as possible, and making sure we have a well looked-after base to operate from, allowing us to keep helping those in need across North Aberdeenshire.

Banchory Greenpower
1

Banchory Greenpower

£1,600.00
Banchory Greenpower is a weekly, after-school project which inspires young people, aged 11-17, to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) through a unique challenge: to design, build and race an electric car. Led by five retired oil industry professionals, the aim is to make the car highly energy-efficient and to travel as far as possible in a 90 minute race. The students learn a range of practical skills, theory and about renewables energy management. These are key factors for a Net Zero world where there is a major skills and knowledge shortage. Teaching smart green technology.

£

Reducing running costs which helps to secure the future of BLC and continue to offer a warm, welcoming space for our community. Contributing to BLC's aspiration to be the community's hub in case of power cuts and other local emergencies.

Every journey sparks smiles, stories, and friendships—while volunteers enjoy fitness, fulfilment, and active ageing. Banchory Woodland Trails - Phase Two

£50,000.00
The Deeside Bike Collective are pleased and excited to be working to deliver phase two of the Banchory Woodland Trails for your enjoyment. To build on the success and popularity of the trails we plan to construct a circular all-user path, a flow and pump skills area and complete an upgrade to the red grade trail. These additions will enhance the current offering by providing more options for bike riders and woodland users. The DBC are thrilled to be able to expand this community woodland project to further benefit Aberdeenshire. We are excited to see these developments in 2026!

Deveron, Bogie and Isla Rivers Trust
1

The Big Deveron River Watch

£36,111.75
Imagine watching rivers becoming healthier in real time! Recently, our rivers have been getting warmer and at risk of becoming polluted, affecting our local communities, our farmers, our wildlife, and even our drinking water. The rivers of Aberdeenshire need our help.

By installing advanced water-quality monitoring equipment across the catchment, we will generate real-time information that drives practical action on the ground. Farmers, schools, and community groups will use the results to protect soils, improve water quality, and restore river life, showing how working together can create cleaner water, thriving ecosystems, and stronger, more resilient communities and farm businesses.

Young people will lead the way, gaining practical green skills in food growing, biodiversity restoration, and climate resilience, while creating wildlife habitats, planting native trees, and improving access to fresh, healthy food. The project will bring people of all ages together through seasonal events and shared action, tackling rural isolation while regenerating the land. Roots to Rise will be supporting a greener, fairer future where communities grow stronger, healthier, and more connected, powered by nature.

We have big plans to return the mill to working order and set up a hub for heritage and traditional skills training, but first we need tools... and a toilet! This funding will give a huge boost to kickstarting volunteering activities and making repairs. Voting for us gives us a massive head start to getting stuck into returning the water mill to working order and working towards building a hub for heritage skills.

The Friends of Aden want to make this a place that everyone wants to visit and enjoy by restoring and renovating the garden. This will include improvement to the access along with better planting, homes and habitat for wildlife, some beautiful artwork and more sensory experiences. Your votes will mean that Aden remains a place for everyone to connect with nature.

Making attending respite dementia support accessible to all who need it

£39,070.20
Our project aim is to purchase an electric vehicle that will be used by our clients with dementia to attend our sessions. Not being able to get to our sessions should not be a barrier. Families and unpaid carers will benefit from loved ones coming to us as it will give them the valuable time and space they need. When not in use to transport clients, it will be used by our Fundraising Coordinator to attend events, meetings and schools to raise awareness of what we do, to encourage conversations around dementia and to help fund raise.

Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre
1

Solar Panel Installation

£50,000.00
The proposed Photo Voltaic panel installation is the most affordable project which we have available to us, following consideration of the extensive Business Energy Report compiled by Business Energy Scotland. The alternative costs of upgrading insulation, heating, ventilation and lighting involved sums way beyond our means and any potential grant funding available. This solar proposal will save 13k annually, at current costs, which will greatly assist the ability of the club to continue to provide its members and user groups with a unique community asset.

Birley Bush Community Garden (Greener Kemnay)
1

Birley Bush Community Garden (Greener Kemnay)

£7,800.00
The wibbly-wobbly rickety-trickety tumbledown Community Garden fence doesn't inhibit our native flora and fauna in the slightest, but it is a bit of an eyesore- more off-putting than enticing to non-wildlife visitors. And worse still, it means added work for carers and group leaders. Younger visitors need to be supervised, and with a more secure fence, carers and group leaders can have confidence in letting their charges run after ladybirds and butterflies and share discoveries. In plain English, our fence needs replacing and that's an unrealistic job for a weekend volunteer effort. Please help.

GrowFree Community & Outdoor Woodland Learning School (OWLS)
1

Whether you are a parent seeking outdoor learning, someone who wants to gather, process and craft with others, drawn to traditional land skills and guardianship, or simply someone who loves to see nature flourish, please vote for Hands in the Land and help us grow a thriving, biodiverse landscape, community and future local food hub.

As a natural extension of the centre's facilities, it will provide an inviting space for user groups, family/group bookings, and community gatherings. Please support us in bringing this space to life!

Longside & District Bowling Club
1

Purchase of an Electric Mower

£32,640.00
The current lawn mower at our club is a vintage petrol machine with a limited life span making it necessary for the club to consider a replacement. Given the inevitable transition to clean energy the club felt it was the right time to consider a more environmentally friendly option. To this end we acquired a quote for the supply of the electric mower. The obvious benefits will be lower maintenance & running costs, better for the environment and negates the need to store flammable liquids on the premises.

Maud Village Trust
1

Solar for Community: Cutting Carbon, Growing Services

Every pound saved will be reinvested into local services such as Lego clubs, crochet clubs, our teen programme, Just Ask cost-of-living support, listening ear, exercise referral, gentle gym, and mental-health support groups. These savings help us keep health and wellbeing projects local and accessible for the people who rely on us most, showing how practical climate action delivers immediate community benefit. The legacy will be greener, more efficient buildings able to fund and sustain vital health and wellbeing projects for future generations.

The whole community will benefit. Find out more about us at Midmar Men's Shed

Turn off the generator! Battery power station for community events

£3,351.49
Every year Mearns FM supports many community events across South Aberdeenshire including the Stonehaven Feein' Market, Harbour Festival, Fireworks display and Galas at Portlethen, Inverbervie, Gourdon, Johnshaven (Fish Festival) and Laurencekirk with our PA and music services. Running our PA and music systems outdoors requires electrical power - mostly this means running our noisy, polluting generator. We want to replace that with a battery power station, which will be charged in advance from solar panels (or cheap rate green electricity) so everyone can enjoy the music and breathe more easily!

OaKleyASN Ltd
1
Oakley ASN

£5,456.92
OaKley ASN has an electric minibus to help children with Additional Support Needs and their families get to activities, but in our rural area there are hardly any chargers. This project will install two safe, on-site charging points so the minibus is always ready when families need it. With proper chargers we can cut down on stressful detours, keep costs low, and make sure no child misses out because of transport. It's a simple change that will unlock countless trips, smiles, and opportunities for some of the most vulnerable families in our community.

SensationALL
1

SensationALL goes Electric!

£37,829.92
Vote for us to get an Electric Van! We regularly travel across the northeast bringing specialist play sessions and essential support to people with neurodivergent conditions or additional support needs. But... we desperately need to replace our current diesel van, which is expensive to run and maintain plus, it produces over 40 tonnes of carbon emissions every year. Vote for us and we'll purchase an electric vehicle which will not only improve our ability to transport specialist staff, equipment and resources to more local communities but will also have an immediate, positive effect on the environment.

Strichen Community Park EV Charger, Improved access and parking, snow, ice, leaves and vegetation management equipment.

£38,100.00
Strichen Community Park propose to improve the public facilities available at the Park by the installation of the first EV Charging point in Strichen. This will be powered in part by our own solar array on the Park Shed constructed in 2025. The access to the EV Charger, and shed will be tarmacked. Investment in machinery to clear leaves, snow and ice from the car parks and paths around the Lodge area will make access for all safer, and investment in machinery to manage excess scrub and grass growth will improve safety on the path network.

The Seed Box
1

Buying an Electric Minibus

£31,860.00
The Seed Box provides horticultural training to adults with additional support needs (both physical and mental), our co-workers. We grow vegetables and plants and make craft items which we sell through our shop in Banchory, at markets and through a vegbox scheme. This application is for a grant to purchase an electric vehicle to transport our co-workers to and from The Seed Box and also between our three sites to reduce our carbon footprint. This will also reduce our costs reducing the transportation charge which our co-workers have to pay to attend the Seed Box.

1

Allotments for Insch

£12,346.99

We need your help! Insch needs Allotments! Our community allotments will provide space where individuals, the school, Scouts and community groups can learn together and help each other engage with the green spaces by the Shevock Burn. With a shared Polycrub (like a polytunnel) our community can grow indoor fruit and vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, chillies. A Communal Tool Shed makes growing food accessible to everyone - no expensive equipment needed. Learning and sharing skills across generations will deliver a lasting legacy for our community. Allotments for Insch! Please vote!

Tarland Welfare Trust
1

Heat pump for Tarland Macrobert Hall

£7,925.00
We want to replace the electric panel heaters in our small hall with an air source heat pump. This will result in an estimated saving of over £800 and a reduction in CO2 emissions of around 0.7 tonnes per year. Electricity makes up around 50% of our running costs and this project will help us keep hall hire costs affordable for everyone in the community.

The Barn
1

£50,000.00
Help us transform the Barn Walled Garden from lifeless to full of life! The garden will become a vibrant community hub where people of all ages can get creative outdoors, learn regenerative growing practices, connect with others, and enhance their wellbeing. With its 100-year-old apple tree, more than 26 bird species, and stunning views of Scolty and Clachnaben, the garden will grow into a thriving, inspirational space for the entire community.
